Celebrate Being Single This Valentines Day
February 10, 2023
February is the month of love - for some. But for all the single people out there, it’s usually the month filled with a ton of sassy comments. The word “single” is often accompanied by an array of negative connotations. But there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking some time to focus on you.
Importance Of Being Single
One of the most important preconditions of a good relationship is a satisfactory perspective of being single. The more we are happy to be on our own, the more we will be able to exercise the correct degree of caution around finding a new companion. The bedrock of true love is happy singledom.
How?
While it may seem hard to remind yourself why being single is a good idea, there are some really good perks to not worrying about your significant other. When you are in a relationship every decision involves your partner. However, when you are single you have the freedom of making impromptu decisions and acting upon them at your desire.
Travelling
You could wake up one day and feel like travelling overseas, there is no need to make plans. Travelling alone can be incredibly exhilarating. Take advantage of being single and go wherever you have always dreamed of going! Doing what your heart desires is a real character-building tool that helps you find out who you really are.
Perfecting your Hobbies
Do you knit? Do you like going for multi-day hikes? Do you love reading ten books a month? Whatever hobby you prefer, not being in a relationship allows you to spend more time working on it. Hobbies can easily transition into being a profitable investment, or even a potential resume builder. If you have the time, take advantage of it and celebrate having a hobby worth spending time with.
Meeting New People
When you are a child at a playground it is pretty simple, but “Do you want to be my friend?” isn’t a line you hear from adults. Although it can be tricky and nerve-racking, making new friends as an adult can be rewarding. Attending events, volunteering, playing team sports, and joining a dance class are a few ways of meeting new people and making friends. Many of our members who attended our dinner events found someone who they found interest in and built a relationship with.
